Spring Qi Gong
Sunday 20 October 2019

About this Sunday Sanctuary

Move your body in a gentle, healthy way and make the most of Spring.

Learn practical skills to use at home like:
  • how to stand correctly to avoid pain
  • exercises to facilitate health in your body

Spring is the time of the Wood energy (qi), sap rises in the trees creating new growth. The changability of the weather and the wind can make it a challenging time healthwise - stiff neck and shoulders, hayfever and colds are not uncommon.

Shi ba shi is an easy, flowing form of qi gong (energy exercise) for promoting health and well being. Practicing the moves regulates the breath, which can help calm hayfever symptoms and support the immune system. Finding correct, natural standing and gently moving the limbs encourages the flow of blood and lymph eases stiffness and tension.

No previous experience of qi gong is required.

Bookings are essential as places are limited, go to our Sunday Sanctuary page to book your place.
