At our fundraiser on Suday 23 June you can book a 30min appointment with one of our practitioners and the $30 you pay all goes to the Mary Potter Hospice.
This is our fourth year running the fundraiser and it is always a lot of fun with a fab atmosphere. We usually have some yummy homebaking available for a koha so you can fully indulge yourself. And there's pot of hot tea available for you to help yourself either while you're waiting for your appointment or to just chill and hang out afterwards.
Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis. We'll do our best to give you your preferred time and practitioner. If we can't, then we'll offer alternatives.
We have a new offering this year, Una will be doing a full one hour iRest® meditation session for 5 participants. Same donation of $30. Here is Una's invitation to you:
"When was the last time you felt deeply relaxed and at ease? Do you remember what it was like to feel connected to yourself, simply being? Or is stress and anxiety - the pressure of always doing and having to be "on" in some way - more your norm?
Join me in this one hour iRest class to explore how mindfulness meditation can help bring balance back to your life, how it can restore calm to your body and mind in the simplest of ways. This is an hour just for you. It's an opportunity to rediscover what profound rest can do for you.
What to expect: There will be a short discussion on stress and the nervous system, followed by a guided mindfulness practice focused on body sensing and the breath. And some time for questions after the practice. Wear comfortable clothing and please bring a blanket and yoga mat if you have one."
