With nearly 2 decades of clinical experience, Joe has worked in osteopathy and physiotherapy clinics in Wellington, Dunedin, and abroad, collaborating with experienced teams dedicated to managing pain and enhancing quality of life through personalized care.
Originally from Long Island, just outside New York City, Joe started his career in architecture. After dealing with digestive issues and jaw/sinus pain, Joe navigated a path to recovery through lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and manual therapies. This experience transformed his approach to health and led him to a new career here in New Zealand. Joe uses a blend of bodywork and acupuncture to help clients release tension, improve mobility, refine sensation, and promote healing. He specializes in trigger point releases (dry needling) and neuromyofascial-based acupuncture. Additionally, Joe integrates bodywork therapies like massage, myofascial release, orthopedic cupping, as well as visceral, neural, and cranial osteopathic techniques to enhance therapeutic outcomes. For clients who prefer, he can provide bodywork sessions without the use of needles. Recognizing that his field is continually evolving, Joe stays informed of new developments to provide his clients with up-to-date and effective care. The professional associations listed below are where Joe continues to train, learn, and stay current with industry advancements. He has previously taught at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture & TCM. Now settled in Wellington, Joe enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing music (occasionally a bit too loud), traveling, and discovering the city's diverse culinary scene. He is a registered ACC provider. |
